MANDHI AND ITS INFLUENCE ON MOST OF DHOSHAM

As per the Vedic Astrology Mandhi is an Upagraha. Which is also called as Kuligan.In Kerala all the prediction were made based on Mandhi. In the “SARVARTHA SINDHAMANI”   it was told that Mandhi is the son of Sani (Saturn) . Sani (Saturn) is also called as “Mandhan” thus the name Mandhi is arrived. While casting the horoscope the Mandhi’s position is to be ascertained as per the Udhayathi Nazhikai on the particular day. This has been elaborately  mentioned by Dr.B.V.Raman in his “Foundations of Astrology”.
Mandhi has no own house like Raghu, Kethu. Since the Mandhi is the son of Sani (Saturn) it will take more access in Makaram & Kumbam (Capricorn & Aquarius), The Mandhi will take position where it is stand and act according the Bhavam like Raghu and Kethu.  When Sani (Saturn) is placed in  Makaram & Kumbam (Capricorn & Aquarius) it will give full benefit according to lagnam but the Mandhi will give such benefit half the way.
Generally Mandhi is a planet which usually spoil 6 house in a horoscope in a horoscope, which means out of the twelve houses 6 houses (50% of the horoscope) will have impact of Mandhi. Through Mandhi, Suriyn, Sukran, Sani and Chandran one can easily identify the PITHRU DHOSHAM / PITHRU SAPAM. These dhoshams or sapam will create hurdles in all walk of life.
To analyse the strength of  Mandhi,  Mandhi spudam (i.e. Trispuddam + Bhava spudam calculation is a must)
Mandhi’s aspect is to the three houses (like Guru)  namely 2nd, 7thand 12th house. Mandhi will the Sani’s Karakathvam in half the way.
Apart from this there is a calculation which is called as spudam. Keeping Mandhi, Chandran and Lagnam. This is called as “Trispudam”  By analyzing this spudam and by adding particular bhavam we can able to find out each Bhavam and its power. Whether will it be beneficial or will have negative aspect. Even Health, Pithru Dhosham other dhosham can be identified.  
This type of calculation confirm about the Mandhi’s influence.

CHEVVAI DHOSHAM or MANGAL DHOSHAM CLARIFICATION

In an horoscope when the Chevvai (Mars) is positioned in either 2 nd 4 th   7 th 8 th and 12 th house from Lagnam or Chandra Rasi it is called as Chevvai Dhosham (Mangal Dhosham) .
